Couples Resorts Jamaica has announced its plans to renovate the 150-suite, all-inclusive Couples Sans Souci resort located in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The $7 million project will begin May 1, 2020, and is scheduled for completion in late October. The property will close completely on May 1 and partially reopen July 1.
The renovations will include:
Seventy-eight suites and the Hibiscus Cottage, Balloon Bar Terrace, reconfiguration of the Band Gazebo, Balloon Bar, Casanova Restaurant and Kitchen, Bella Vista Restaurant, relocation of tennis courts near Sunset Beach and lobby updates.
In addition to its upcoming renovation plans, Couples Sans Souci also renovated 72 suites and its Palazzina Restaurant and Kitchen in 2015.
Guests with confirmed reservations during this renovation period will be contacted by Couples’ reservations management team to facilitate alternate arrangements.
Couples Sans Souci is situated on 35 acres of cliff-side bluffs overlooking the Caribbean. Its location features winding stone walkways, hidden grottos, tropical foliage and natural mineral springs. Included with your resort stay is unlimited spirits, scuba diving and watersports, as well as 24-hour dining and nightly entertainment.
In other related news, the Couples Sans Souci property was formerly used as one of the filming locations for the 1973 James Bond movie “Live and Let Die.” To commemorate the film, Bond’s hotel room is remembered with a special sign, “D20.”
