Courtyard by Marriott Bridgetown, Barbados has announced that it has renovated its guestrooms and updated its amenities. Following a $600,000 investment by development firm Caribe Hospitality of Barbados Ltd, the 118 newly enhanced rooms and suites aim to provide guests with a modern stylish décor and to capture the vibe, essence and beauty of Barbados.
The new design focal point is a watercolor abstract wall covering behind the headboard, which, along with clean-lined furniture and an ergonomic workspace, aims to give each room a more spacious feel. The rooms’ gray and blue-shaded color palette blend with macadamia-shaded walls and white trims, while natural light brings the setting together. Design accents include local artist Julianne Gill abstract color driven paintings using the ocean and underwater as inspiration.
Each of the hotel’s guestrooms and suites provide guests with deluxe bedding, modern lounge furnishings and spacious work areas for those looking to mix business with pleasure. Additionally, guests can enjoy the hotel's fitness center and outdoor pool, dine at the hotel’s signature restaurant, Centro, where they can discover international cuisine and traditional Barbadian recipes, or take a complimentary beach shuttle to Copacabana Beach Club.
With the rooms and suites’ renovation completed, the hotel is now focusing on public spaces, emphasizing socialization, productivity and personalization in collaborative settings, and technology-enabled designs. These guest enhancements are projected to begin in mid-2020.
