Hilton unveiled the signing of an agreement for a new Curio Collection by Hilton property in the Cayman Islands with NCB Group. Slated to open in 2021, the new-build, 80-room hotel will target sustainability and wellness, incorporating renewable and energy-efficient technologies all over the property.
Located at the end of George Town, the beachfront hotel has 80 suites with floor plans spanning one to three bedrooms, which will also be available for purchase. Each suite will include energy-efficient technologies, in-room yoga mats and fitness equipment, and lighting that regulates circadian rhythm. Travelers could also stay in executive and penthouse suites with premier private pools.
Guests will experience farm-to-table dining at two of the property’s restaurants and poolside café. These eateries will serve up local seafood, fresh produce, organic wines and craft cocktails. Also included is a fully-equipped gym, spa and conference facilities.
The hotel will also feature a swimming pool complete with a swim-up bar and a fresh juice bar. And the hotel will offer vehicle rentals and complimentary bicycles for eco-conscious guests to ride along and experience Grand Cayman’s Seven Mile Beach.
NCB Group Renewable strives for sustainability by introducing energy, environmental considerations and energy efficient mechanical, electrical and plumbing elements that are intelligently integrated. Solar panels, geothermal cooling, water recycling, SMART building management systems, LED lighting, and solar water heating reduce operating costs, lower the reliance on the electrical grid and reduce the carbon footprint.
In addition to this new Cayman Island’s property, Hilton is also setting its sights on Mexico. Upcoming hotels include a few firsts for the company: the first Canopy hotel in the country, the first Hilton Hotels & Resorts property in Monterrey and the first two Curio Collection properties in Mexico City.
