Tivoli Hotels & Resorts, a Portugal-based luxury hospitality brand, has announced the opening of Tivoli Chengdu at Cultural Heritage Park, the brand's first in China. The 201-key property is located in the International Intangible Cultural Heritage Park in Chengdu. Guests will have direct access to the park’s exhibition halls.
The hotel offers six dining venues. The Portuguese restaurant, Casa de Fados, will host a European-style Sunday brunch, besides serving daily seafood-rich Mediterranean meals paired with wines. Tihong Chinese Restaurant is designed as a family hub where diners can sample dim sum and contemporary Szechuan and Cantonese dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant’s 11 private dining rooms are each named after poems penned by the great Chengdu-born poet Sima Xiangru.
At the all-day dining CAFÉ 1933, chefs offer international cuisine, with a focus on South-east Asian specialties. The Lobby Lounge will offer light Western meals and casual dining, with premium teas served at the adjacent antique tea room. Fun DIY bakery sessions and chocolate workshops will be offered as part of the family-friendly Mr Fun Bakery House experience, an extension of the Lobby Lounge. Family picnic sets are also available to enjoy in the gardens or in Chengdu Cultural Heritage Park. The Sky Bar offers classic Tivoli cocktails and panoramic views.
The property’s 8,611-square-foot Kids’ Garden will provide baby-sitting services besides offering a dedicated pet’s bed, pet’s menu and a play area. Other amenities include a fully equipped health center, the Anantara Spa and a soon-to-open swimming pool. With its 2,4487-square-foot banquet hall and heritage-themed coffee breaks, Tivoli Chengdu is ideal for events of any size and style. The 39,288-square-foot lawn is ideal for weddings and social celebrations.
Chengdu Shuangliu Airport is located 12 miles away from the hotel. Chengdu Metro Line 4 is also a short walk away, providing convenient access to popular attractions such as the Broad and Narrow Alley, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, Qingyang Palace, Huanhuaxi Park and Tianfu Square. Nancaoping Ecology Park and the 18-hole Tianfu Golf Club are also located nearby.
