In a unique alliance, the marketing team of Caneel Bay Resort on St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands has teamed up with Turks and Caicos developer, the Hartling Group.
The partnership calls on the marketing team of Caneel Bay, which was battered by both Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria, to promote two of the Hartling Groups' luxury resorts in Turks and Caicos - The Palms Turks and Caicos and The Shore Club on Long Bay Beach.
Located on St. John, the smallest of the U.S. Virgin Islands, Caneel Bay is closed for the 2017/2018 season, while The Palms Turks and Caicos and The Shore Club fared better, back open for business after suffering only cosmetic damage.
“While Caneel Bay crafts their beautiful turnaround story, we’ve brought on their expert team to help market The Palms and The Shore Club,” said Karen Whitt, the Hartling Group’s vice president of sales and marketing, in a written statement. “Recovery is an ecosystem, happening in boardrooms and boots on the ground. Business as usual is the goal, but until then, it’s a collective effort.”
Both the Hartling Group Resorts and Caneel Bay cater to the same luxury travel markets, such as New York City, Los Angeles, Dallas, Charlotte, Atlanta and Miami.
With veteran Patrick Kidd leading the charge on the marketing and business development team, the Caneel Bay team brings a top coterie of leadership to Turks and Caicos, including Anita Wu to assist with revenue strategy, Kelly Otto to work with the digital marketing team, Kathleen Hansen supporting group sales and Jessica Sarkin supporting leisure sales.
“This is an exciting initiative, using synergies which exist between our two companies,” said Kidd. “For the period of time that Caneel Bay is closed during its rebuilding phase, we are hugely excited to be part of a dynamic team supporting future business into the Caribbean.”
Having opened last year, The Shore Club, the Hartling Group’s newest resort has additional amenities to spotlight: This winter it is unveiling its first set of luxury villas, while a new executive chef has been appointed to oversee the property including its signature SUI-REN restaurant.
Located on Providenciales, The Shore Club offers three pools, direct access to the 2.5-mile secluded Long Bay Beach and a wide range of water activities geared for the active traveler such as boating excursions, complimentary water sports, and a world-class gym for guests looking to get a quick workout in before hitting the beach. It’s the first and only property on Long Bay Beach.
Just a couple of miles away is The Palms Turks and Caicos, a 72-suite luxury resort on Grace Bay Beach offering an infinity pool with swim-up bar, a spa and selection of fine dining and casual restaurants.
