As an added perk, the Fairmont Store recently expanded its specialty Pet Collection with several new retail items. Upon arrival, "VIPs" (Very Important Pups) receive a biscuit box filled with hotel-themed treats, a complimentary Brush & Go service at a nearby luxury dog spa located on the famous Newbury Street, a 20 percent in-store discount to local pet boutique Boston Barkery, and a photo feature of the pup on Cori Copley’s Instagram (the hotel’s famous Canine Ambassador). The Fairmont Hotel Vancouver and local craft brewery, Yellow Dog Brewery, have partnered to create a tribute beer in honor of the hotel's beloved Canine Ambassadors, Ella and Elly. The beer, aptly named 'The Lobby Dog Lager,' is a light, crisp and refreshing brew on tap at the property’s Notch8 Restaurant & Bar. Partial proceeds from each beer sold will contribute to Ella and Elly’s pledge to sponsor a “pint-size pup'' through BC & Alberta Guide Dog’s Puppy Raising program. In addition, guests with their own four-legged companions can enjoy the hotel’s Lab of Luxury Pet Package complete with luxurious overnight accommodations, a welcome four-pack of The Lobby Dog Lager (for the paw-rents), pet amenities including a dog bed, bowls, and treats, along with complimentary self-parking.
Take a "Petcation" to Mexico’s Fairmont Mayakoba
In Riviera Maya, guests can book Fairmont Mayakoba’s Petcation Package including a "pawfect"-guided boat ride with the pup around the property. Support Working Dogs at Fairmont Washington D.C., Georgetown
A stay at Fairmont Washington D.C., Georgetown’s Puppy Love Package supports working dogs. In partnership with Guiding Eyes for the Blind, each time a Puppy Love package is booked, the hotel donates $25 to the organization. The specialty package includes overnight accommodations for the guest and their pup in a luxurious guestroom, dog treats handmade by the hotel's pastry team, a walking map of pet friendly places in the D.C. area, and a special pet-only do not disturb sign for the door.
