Bermuda hotel Fairmont Southampton announced that it is now allowing guests to bring their dogs to stay at the property. The new policy went into effect November 1 following the hotel’s successful hosting of attendees for the DIABC 2018 International Dog Shows.
Guests bringing their dogs can pay an extra $50 per pet per night for an assortment of canine amenities. The package includes a dog treat, food and water bowls, pet waste disposal bags and a dog bed. Visitors who bring their pets will also need an import license for dogs, as required by the Bermuda government. To receive the documentation, owners must visit their local vet and submit an application.
The new policy follows Fairmont Southampton's stint as the Official Exhibitor Hotel for the Devil’s Isle All Breed Club dog shows on October 20 and 21. In its position as the event’s official exhibitor hotel, the Fairmont Southampton hosted many of the competing dogs and their owners.
