Finniss River Lodge has made its debut in the Top End of Australia’s Northern Territory. Situated within the 77-square-mile working cattle property of Finniss River Station and a 90-minute drive south-west of Darwin, the property is owned by the Venturin family. Owner Robert Venturin said that Finniss River Station has operated since 1987 as a grazing property for Brahman cattle.
The six-suite lodge has wide verandas and a wet-edge swimming pool with station views. Guests can enjoy locally inspired cuisine cooked according to their preference by resident chef Travis Crane. Wi-Fi is also available. Matthew Hurley of Hurley Hospitality Creative, director of operations of the lodge, said, “One of our signature events will be ‘Cows & Canapés’, where guests will enjoy amazing canapés and drinks, while meeting some of the station team and their bovine friends.
“From a nature-seekers’ perspective, Finniss River Lodge supports a plethora of wildlife—flocks of magpie geese and brolgas in their thousands, native and introduced species as well as the iconic saltwater crocodile,” added Hurley.
Guests can immerse themselves in station life, participate in wild adventures, go on airboat rides or try barramundi fishing. They can also learn about indigenous culture in the nearby Litchfield National Park. The property is ideal for multigenerational families.
Prices for Finniss River Station are inclusive of all meals; one can select beverages and activities per day on a twin-sharing basis.
