Il Tornabuoni, a boutique hotel located in the heart of Florence, has joined VRetreats Collection. The hotel, part of the Unbound Collection by Hyatt, is housed in a building dating to the 13th century. It was built by the Bombeni family and subsequently passed on to the English Minerbetti family, descendants of the Becket family. The hotel’s style is reminiscent of the Renaissance.
Il Tornabuoni is strategically located at the crossroads of historic Via de’ Tornabuoni, Piazza Santa Trinita and Via del Parione. It offers 62 rooms and suites curated by interior designer Andrea Auletta. Some of the rooms still retain their original 15th-century frescoes, while the bathrooms evoke the style of ancient baths. Nearby attractions include Piazza della Signoria, the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery.
Il Tornabuoni’s F&B venues include The Magnificent, a restaurant on the ground floor, serving traditional Tuscan cuisine; The Magnificent Café, offering bistro-inspired cuisine paired with beverages; the Butterfly Terrace on the fourth floor, which is also open to the public; the soon-to-open Lucie Gourmet Restaurant featuring both traditional Italian and international cuisine; and La Cave, a wine cellar on the lower level featuring a collection of Italian wines and French champagnes with the option of organizing tastings besides private events and dinners.
Services include a 24-hour concierge, an in-room wine bar and a fully equipped gym.
