Frontiers International has announced a new fishing expedition to the recently constructed Suinda Lodge in Argentina’s Corrientes Province on the Paraná River. The trip offers catch-and-release fishing for dorado, pirá pitá and pacú, as well as the chance to sample Argentina’s famous cuisine, including beef, fine wines, traditional Asados (BBQs) and desserts.
A five-night / four-day fishing package starts at $4,625 per person double and can be booked for September or October or January 1 – May 31 seasonally. The rate includes lodging, meals, an open bar, professional guide services, and loaner fishing equipment. The fishing program accepts eight guests each week.
Guests will leave the lodge around 6 a.m. or earlier in custom skiffs specifically designed for fishing the Paraná. They will return for a swim, lunch and drinks at around 10 a.m. After a siesta, the boats will head back out around 4:30 p.m. and return at dusk.
In addition to the fishing, the lodge’s team of chefs will prepare every meal from scratch. Menus are paired with Argentinian wines from Bodega Catena Zapata.
Suinda Lodge has four air-conditioned suites with private bathrooms. Wooden footbridges connect each room to the main dining hall, and it is a short walk to the water from the hall. In addition to fishing, guests can also enjoy birdwatching in the area, since the Paraná River Delta ranks as one of the country’s top birdwatching destinations.
