Grace Bay Resorts has announced a partnership with New York-based firm Young Huh Interior Design to bring a new design perspective to Point Grace. The firm is refurbishing the resort's poolside cottages, several oceanfront suites, the restaurant Grace’s Cottage, along with the lobby and additional public spaces throughout the property. Grace Bay Resorts acquired the management company and most of the resort assets in April 2018.
Huh plans to incorporate design concepts from several sources to create a design with classic proportions and eclectic style. Grace Bay Resorts says Huh and her team will aim to add a youthful and modern edge to Point Grace while maintaining the resort’s British West Indies heritage and style.
Grace’s Cottage, the resort’s French-inspired restaurant, showcased its new look: a brand-new bar & lounge, terraced seating areas and new landscaping, all framed by a 25-foot Bisazza glass-tile mosaic wall that stretches over the whole length of the newly renovated space. The mosaic wall, which serves as the centerpiece from the garden and guest seating areas, is accented by new soft lighting and modern pendants. The piece is designed to create a sophisticated atmosphere reflecting the overall redesign planned for the property.
SWA Architects plans new additions to Point Grace over the next several months—guest amenities such as a new breakfast area, new fitness center and updates to the common areas of the property. SWA will also lead the design on an anticipated expansion of the property which would follow in the coming years.
Point Grace is part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World.
