Hilton is expanding its Signia by Hilton brand into Texas with the planned conversion of La Cantera Resort & Spa in San Antonio. The property, which has been a staple of the Texas Hill Country for more than 20 years, will reopen as Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa on October 1, 2025. Reservations are now being accepted.
The move marks Signia by Hilton’s entry into the state and continues the brand’s expansion into key destinations worldwide. Owned by Ohana Real Estate Investors and managed by Hilton, the resort recently completed an 11-month, $40 million refresh.
“La Cantera Resort & Spa has been a beloved destination in the Texas Hill Country for more than 20 years, and we’re proud to lead its next chapter as a Signia by Hilton hotel,” said Ben Turner, general manager. “This partnership combines the resort’s rich heritage and upscale amenities with Signia’s signature hospitality, enhancing its reputation as a premier destination for sophisticated getaways and exceptional events in San Antonio.”

The 496-room resort includes 34 boutique-style villas, an adults-only floor, and interiors inspired by Texas’ King Ranch Estate. Guests will find nine dining venues, including Signature Restaurant—recognized in the “Michelin Guide Texas 2024”—as well as SweetFire Kitchen, Primero Cantina, a sports bar, and grab-and-go options. Wellness offerings include the award-winning Loma de Vida Spa & Wellness and championship golf at La Cantera Golf Club, a former PGA Tour stop.
For meeting planners, the property features 115,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor space, including a grand ballroom and Calera, a new 5,600-square-foot venue set to open soon for weddings and social events. Additional amenities include five pools, nature trails and a kids’ camp.
Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort & Spa will join a growing portfolio that includes Signia by Hilton Amman in Jordan and the upcoming Signia by Hilton Indianapolis (2026). Guests will also have access to Hilton Honors benefits when booking.
Reservations for stays beginning October 1, 2025, are available now at Hilton.com.
