Hilton Grand Vacations is doubling down on the Grand Strand. Construction is underway on Ocean Reserve, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, a 227-suite oceanfront resort that will become the timeshare operator’s fourth property in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and its eighth in the state when it opens in the second quarter of 2028.

Sales opened over the summer, giving members a two-year runway before the first check-ins. The resort is going up at 23rd Avenue North and North Ocean Boulevard, directly beside HGV’s existing Ocean 22 property, and the two will operate as a shared campus, with guests at either resort able to use the amenities of both.

“We’re excited to strengthen our presence in South Carolina and provide our members and guests with even more opportunities to experience exceptional vacations in one of the country's most popular coastal destinations,” said Mark Wang, CEO of Hilton Grand Vacations. “Myrtle Beach is an iconic, highly desirable, family-friendly destination, and Ocean Reserve showcases the quality accommodations, thoughtful design, desirable amenities and oceanfront setting that today’s travelers are seeking.”

The inventory skews toward families and longer stays. Every one-, two-, and three-bedroom suite comes with a full kitchen and an in-unit washer and dryer, and a set of presidential suites will sit above a rooftop pool deck facing the Atlantic. The amenity list also calls for an indoor pool, a bar, a deli, a fitness center, and a multipurpose activity space. Guests will be within easy reach of the city’s main dining, shopping, and entertainment districts, along with the Golden Mile, the stretch of shoreline that anchors Myrtle Beach’s oceanfront real estate.

Ocean Reserve is the sixth project HGV has developed with Strand Capital Group, a South Carolina firm.

“We appreciate the opportunity to continue our long-standing relationship with Hilton Grand Vacations through Ocean Reserve,” said J. Patrick Lowe, founding partner of Strand Capital Group. “Together, we're building a resort that will be a wonderful addition to Myrtle Beach and one that HGV’s members and guests will enjoy for many years to come.”
