Hilton has opened a new hotel in Bogota, Colombia. The new Hilton Bogota Corferias is billed as the first full-service hotel in the city’s fair and convention district, and it has 410 rooms and 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space.
The new hotel is part of the Corferias complex, which has been established by the city’s Chamber of Commerce to promote industrial, commercial, social and cultural development for the region. The Hilton Bogota Corferias is the official hotel for the complex.
The property has a contemporary design inspired by the city’s natural elements and landscape, with floor-to-ceiling windows in each guestroom for views of the city and the 10,341-foot Monserrate Hill, which the hotel overlooks. Other in-room amenities include a work desk with adjustable lamp, 50-inch HD TVs, a pillow menu and complimentary Wi-Fi. Suites have a separate living area, and the Presidential Suite also has a cocktail area, a dining room, two bathrooms and a king guestroom.
The hotel has three dining concepts, all of which aim to showcase locally sourced ingredients. The OKA Grill House and Four Eleven Bar have an urban design centered around an open kitchen, and they serve Colombian dishes paired with an extensive wine list. The Bon Market Bar offers a variety of grab-and-go items, while the Executive Lounge serves copmlimentary hot breakfast, evening refreshments and hors d’oeuvres.
Also on property are an indoor heated swimming pool, a hydro-massage pool, a fitness center, a steam bath and treatment rooms for massage services.
For meetings and events, there is a 5,815-square-foot main ballroom with floor-to-ceiling windows and a 720-person capacity, as well as seven breakout rooms totaling 13,200 square feet. The hotel also has a 6,500-square-foot terrace – the largest in the city – and the Agora Convention Center, recently completed in late 2017, is within walking distance. That venue has nearly 65,000 square feet of event space.
The hotel is also adjacent to the Corferias Bogota Fairground and near to the La Candelaria colonial neighborhood, Gold Museum and the Art Museum of the National University of Colombia. Other nearby activities include hiking up Monserrate Hill or sampling Bogota’s chic culinary scene.
The Hilton Bogota Corferias is Hilton’s 20th property in Colombia.
