Hotel Amapa, opening in early 2019 in the historic old town of Puerto Vallarta, announced that Alessandro Stifani has assumed the role of General Manager. Stifani brings to the hotel over 20 years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industries.
Stifani’s career began in Europe where he worked for nine years across various fields within the hotel industry, including communications, entertainment and public relations. Stifani has since focused his career on guest satisfaction.
Stifani continued his career in the hotel industry by joining Wyndham Hotel Group where he worked in four different locations, over 10 years, assuming a diverse range of managerial roles at each. Most recently, Stifani was at Buenaventura Hotels serving as General Manager of Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway, also located in the Puerto Vallarta area.
With over 35 years of hospitality experience, developer David Harries has led a design team to conceptualize Hotel Amapa, which will offer 55 rooms one block from Playa Los Muertos. The hotel, part of the Design Hotels collection, will provide a minimal, modern and Mexican aesthetic set against the backdrop of the Sierra Madre Mountains, Pacific Ocean and old town.
Hotel Amapa will offer a fusion of traditional Mexican aesthetic with a contemporary design. The hotel will provide several food and beverage options highlighting local flavors with coastal Mexican cuisine, as well as a rooftop pool and bar.
