Hotel Belmar in Costa Rica has announced a set of Pride Month specials. Offers include a "Pride Live & Proud" event, discounted rates on hotel stays and an exclusive cocktail with all proceeds going to Casa Rara, a non-profit network that supports and aids Costa Rica’s disenfranchised LGBTQ+ populations.
Hotel Belmar is not only committed to sustainable tourism and eco-adventure, but also celebrates diversity. The hotel supports the LGBTQ+ community year-round with a monthly Live & Proud event, which features LGBTQ+ musicians and guest speakers. For Pride Month, the free Pride Live & Proud event will be held on June 18 at the hotel’s Cervecería Belmar Tap Room & Beer Garden from 1 p.m. to 11 p.m. Event highlights include: Rainbow beer pints with proceeds going to Casa Rara; Sexual Diversity Workshop led by Casa Rara; theater act by Andy Gamboa, “Autopsia de Una Sirena” (“A Mermaid’s Autopsy”), discussing themes of coming out in Costa Rica and life in the queer community; and a pop DJ set by artist Terrasha.
The hotel is offering members of the LGBTQ community a 15 percent discount on any guestroom or suite for stays during Pride Month. Guests can use promo code PRIDE2022 while making reservations.
Throughout Pride Month, the hotel will also donate $1 from the purchase of any beer or the Arcoíris (rainbow) cocktail, a classic margarita with a rainbow popsicle garnish, to Casa Rara.
