Hotel Garo Debuts in Tokyo With “Stay in a Museum” Concept

Elephant Asset Management has announced the opening of Hotel Garo in Tokyo. Showcasing a range of works by Japanese artists, the hotel offers a unique “stay in a museum” concept for art lovers.

Guests at Hotel Garo will be surrounded by artworks created by emerging local artists displayed throughout the property. The "hotel" can accommodate 11 persons, and offers nearly 1,873 square feet of space. It comprises three bedrooms, two restrooms and one bathroom with a bathtub.

Good to know: Hotel Garo offers a Japanese traditional atmosphere with two Japanese-style bedrooms complete with tatami mats. The living room has two sofas, while the fully equipped kitchen includes kitchenware, tableware, a microwave and fridge. Other facilities that guests can make use of include high-speed Wi-Fi, Netflix, a washing machine and more. Hotel Garo is home to more than 10 oil paintings and calligraphy works in the living room, bedrooms and staircases.

Hotel Garo is located a five-minute walk from Keikyu-Kamata station and a 20-minute taxi ride from Haneda Airport. Guests can reach popular tourist attractions such as Shibuya, Roppongi, Asakusa and Shinjuku within 30 minutes by train.
