Hotel Hartness, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, has announced its opening in Greenville, SC. Formerly a grand family home set among pastures, lakes, creeks and woodlands, Hotel Hartness has 73 guestrooms and suites, as well as Patterson Kitchen + Bar, the intimate Captain bar and Spa H.
Hotel Hartness is located within the Hartness urban village founded by the Hartnesses on the family’s 467-acre estate affording views of the Blue Ridge Mountain skyline, a 180-acre nature preserve, and an on-site farm. The family’s upstate roots date to 1904 when entrepreneur Tom Hartness purchased the Pepsi-Cola Bottling rights in Greenville, resulting in a packaging business and the family’s home residing on the land that now serves as the canvas for the Hartness community. Hotel Hartness’ design and offerings incorporate the family history and original home. The property is in proximity to downtown Greenville and the Greenville–Spartanburg International Airport.
Hotel Hartness’ 73 guestrooms and suites, including four Spa Suites located in Spa H, offer luxe touches such as plush bedding, soft bathrobes and slippers, and nightly turndown service. Providing an experience devoted to tranquility and wellbeing, The Spa Suites additionally have exclusive bathroom amenities, a soaking tub and a private balcony.
Dining options include Patterson Kitchen + Bar, a fine dining contemporary restaurant with indoor and outdoor waterside dining, and an exposition kitchen, and The Captain. Patterson Kitchen + Bar serves a traditional menu with a modern take and southern and international influences, and The Captain, a cozy gathering space inspired by the Hartness family’s fondness for aviation, provides a Southern-influenced small plate dining menu to complement the bar’s mix of classic and innovative cocktails.
Spa H offers six treatment rooms, two of which can accommodate couples. The menu of customizable offerings includes facials, massages and body treatments. Signature treatments draw inspiration from Hotel Hartness’ setting and farm-to-table attributes, and the spa menu changes seasonally to highlight seasonal ingredients.
Good to know: Hotel Hartness has two levels of meeting and conference space spanning 16,000 square feet. Among the property’s 18 spaces are a range of indoor and outdoor venues that can be customized for weddings and small- to medium-sized events, besides a ballroom that can host up to 300 people. Additional amenities include an outdoor pool, fitness center, and access to year-round experiences and outdoor activities.
