Hotel Indigo Gatlinburg Downtown Opens With Rooftop Views, Event Space and Smoky Mountain Style

Hotel Indigo has officially debuted its latest property in the heart of the Smokies with the opening of Hotel Indigo Gatlinburg Downtown. The 136-room property blends elevated Southern hospitality, rustic-chic design and Appalachian charm—all within walking distance of downtown attractions and just minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Owned by Viral 24 LLC, the property marks the 175th Hotel Indigo opening worldwide and introduces Gatlinburg’s largest and tallest rooftop destination.

“Hotel Indigo Gatlinburg Downtown is a love letter to this incredible destination,” Victor Patel, owner of Viral 24 LLC, said in a statement. “Every aspect of the hotel from the design to the dining invites our guests to experience the spirit of the Smokies. We’ve taken the wonderment of our surroundings and paired it with a level of service and comfort that makes every guest feel both at home and inspired, whether they are seeking adventure, relaxation, or both.”

Design and Atmosphere

SK Ballard Contract Interiors led the interior design, pairing Art Deco glamour with the rugged beauty of the Smokies. Jewel tones, velvets, and mountain-inspired motifs fill the lobby, while curated artwork from East Tennessee artists and archival photography connect the property to the region’s heritage.

The rooftop Altitude Restaurant and Bar extends the design concept with natural-edge tables, mosaic glass tile, and greenery. Guests can enjoy locally sourced American cuisine, regionally inspired cocktails, and panoramic views of the mountains.

Accommodations and Amenities

Guest rooms and suites feature tufted headboards inspired by mountain ridges, rust-colored velvet chaise lounges in select rooms, and a mix of textures and patterns. Four signature one-bedroom suites—The Mountain Majesty, The Indi, The Rosewood and The Appalachian—join a mix of standard King and Queen accommodations, including 20 rooms with private balconies.

On-property dining also includes a Starbucks on the first floor, while relaxation is offered at Infinity, the hotel’s heated, infinity-edge pool with a swim-up bar and cabana rentals.

Meetings, Events and Location

With 9,300 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, the hotel caters to weddings, conferences and celebrations. A fitness center with Peloton bikes and modern equipment rounds out the amenity mix.

The property is located at 229 East Parkway in Gatlinburg, within easy reach of attractions such as Anakeesta Outdoor Adventure Park and Ober Mountain Adventure Park & Ski Area.

To celebrate its debut, Hotel Indigo Gatlinburg Downtown is offering introductory rates starting at $179 per night. Guests who book through November 19, 2025, will also receive a complimentary appetizer (up to $20) and a glass of beer or wine at Altitude.
