Hyatt to Open Adults-Only Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana in 2026

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced plans for Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana, a 406-room, adults-only all-inclusive resort expected to debut in 2026 on the Dominican Republic’s Macao Beach.

The resort will be managed by a Hyatt affiliate under an agreement with GSM Investissements Dominicana S.R.L., the owner of Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana. The project is positioned to strengthen Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection portfolio in one of the Caribbean’s most in-demand destinations.

“We are delighted to continue our relationship with Hyatt with plans for Secrets Macao Beach,” Georges Santa-Maria, manager, GSM Investissements Dominicana S.R.L., said in a statement. “Building on the success of Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, we are confident this resort will offer a premier, adults-only experience to perfectly complement Hyatt’s existing brand footprint in the destination, further elevating the appeal of this incredible location and its natural beauty.”

Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana will feature a mix of Junior Suites, Master Suites, and Presidential Suites, along with 111 swim-out suites and 13 panoramic high-level swim-out suites. Nine dining venues are planned, ranging from global cuisine to a farm-to-table restaurant set in an on-site organic garden. Nine bars will round out the offerings, including a sports bar with full-service dining, a cigar lounge, and a Coco Café serving light bites. Preferred Club guests will have access to an exclusive dining venue and a rooftop pool with ocean views.

Other amenities will include three pools, a convention center for up to 1,000 guests, and full access to the family-friendly Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana next door, allowing guests to use restaurants and facilities at both resorts. The property will operate under Hyatt’s Unlimited-Luxury model, which covers beach and pool service, 24-hour concierge and room service, nightly entertainment, and top-shelf international and domestic spirits.

“The Dominican Republic continues to be a priority destination for our guests seeking adults-only, all-inclusive luxury experiences, and our commitment to growing with intent remains prevalent in this highly coveted region,” Fernando Fernandez, vice president of development, Inclusive Collection, Hyatt, said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to strengthen our relationship with GSM Investissements Dominicana S.R.L. and bringing the Secrets Resorts & Spas brand to Macao Beach, recognized as one of the Caribbean’s top beaches by UNESCO.”

The addition of Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana follows several recent Inclusive Collection openings in the Dominican Republic, including Secrets Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa and Dreams Playa Esmeralda Resort & Spa in Miches, as well as new properties in La Romana. Another property, Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, is also slated to open later in 2025.
