Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa and Casino, located on 12 acres of beachfront property on Palm Beach, has announced plans for a renovation of its beachfront space. The hotel is introducing a beachside adults-only pool, expected for fall 2019. The project adds to the resort’s amenities, which include an 8,000-square-foot, multi-level pool complex complete with a three-story water slide, swim-up bar and tropical surroundings.
Overseen by EDSA, a planning, landscape architecture and urban design firm based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the project will redesign a 43,000-square-foot area of the resort’s beachfront outdoor space. Plans include 10 private pool cabanas, each with a private entrance and stairway into a tension edge pool. Other amenities include outdoor showers, a beach hut that will have towels for guests, use of the resort’s natural stone walls, and an outdoor space for weddings and events, fully equipped with audio visual capabilities.
The project is slated to begin in May 2019 and will follow on the heels of the resort’s recently completed $21 million top-to-bottom enhancement of its 359 guestrooms, suites and Regency Club Lounge. Announced last year, the renovation includes new rooms that are bright with white oak furnishings and natural light. Other features include hand-woven, chevron wool rug, plush pillows and bedding, a classic tufted headboard and a large chaise lounge.
