Iberostar Hotels & Resorts reports that it opened two new renovated hotels in Montenegro this month. Iberostar Herceg Novi and Iberostar Perast are the second and third of the company's locations in the country.
The two hotels are located on the Bay of Kotor, a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979 for its environmental, cultural and historical significance. The 183-room Iberostar Herceg Novi is a seafront hotel in the city of Herceg Novi. Iberostar Perast is a repurposed palace that offers around 100 rooms.
Opened on June 1, Iberostar Herceg Novi offers its own dock and beach club and opportunities for various water sports. The four-star hotel also includes a spa and activity program.
Perast, the site of Iberostar’s other new hotel, is a small seafaring town featuring a wealth of palaces, churches and Baroque architecture. Iberostar Perast is housed in the town’s largest palace, dating back to an 18th century family of wealthy merchants. The newly renovated five-star hotel offers guests a range of amenities including local and international cuisine and access to a private deck.
Iberostar Hotels and Resorts, founded in the Balearic Islands of Spain in 1986, is a member of one of Spain’s top tourist groups, Iberostar Group. The hotel chain is spread across 17 countries and includes more than 110 four- and five-star hotels. Iberostar Hotels and Resorts entered the Montenegrin hotel market in 2005 with the Iberostar Bellevue in Budva.
