JW Marriott Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of JW Marriot Phu Quoc, Emerald Bay. Designed by interior designer Bill Bensley, the hotel boasts 244 guestrooms, suites and villas. Emerald Bay marks the second Marriott hotel in Vietnam.
The beachfront resort offers five restaurants and bars including: Tempus Fugit (which translates to Time Flies), serving Vietnamese cuisine, Japanese fare and French delicacies; French & Co, offering signature pastries and desserts; Red Rum, serving fresh seafood dishes; Pink Pearl, serving Cantonese cuisine; and Department of Chemistry, stirring up local concoctions with views of Emerald Bay.
Inside the resort is Rue de Lamarck which offers boutiques and cafes for guests and locals to peruse. The hotel also has a Spa by JW, which comprises eight treatment rooms equipped with a private rainforest shower, steam room, sauna and treatment area. Treatments are based on four benefits states. Additionally, the property has 1,100 meters of indoor/outdoor meeting space, including a 715 square-meter Grand Ballroom.
Guests can enjoy daily activities ranging from Vietnamese martial arts and lantern making to cooking classes and wellness activities such as a boot camp and yoga. For those opting for a less strenuous activity, the resort has a private beach and three outdoor pools.

To better manage rewards, Marriott has introduced a new mobile app; it is also running its MegaBonus promotion, which rewards two times the amount of points on a guests' first three stays.
