Karisma Hotels & Resorts, which owns and manages properties in Mexico, Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, has announced a $250,000 cash prize, plus a diamond giveaway, as a part of a rewards program to recognize the travel agent community for their efforts.
The prize will be announced during the 11th annual Gourmet Inclusive Vacation Consultant (GIVC) Sales & Marketing Forum Awards, taking place December 5–8 at El Dorado Royale in Mexico’s Riviera Maya.
The program and prize, which began in 2014 and increases in value each year, is presented by Dolores Lopez Lira and Jose Luis Martinez, owners of of El Dorado Spa Resorts, Generations Resorts and Hidden Beach Resort by Karisma.
In addition to the $250,000 cash prize, two diamonds will be raffled off during the gala dinner at the 11th annual GIVC awards. Each diamond-level GIVC member in attendance will be eligible to win one diamond, and all agents who qualify for the $250,000 cash prize will qualify for the other.
Agents must meet a selection of requirements for the cash giveaway, including increasing their overall business by 20 percent from the previous year and maintaining diamond-level GIVC agent status in 2017 and 2018, amongst others.
The Gourmet Inclusive Vacation Consultant Program was launched in 2008 for agents who meet specific requirements to exceed high expectations with regards to bookings, customer service and support. Gourmet Inclusive Vacation Consultants receive benefits from the program, including marketing tools, added incentives to offer consumers and high commission rates.
Agents within the United States receive 21 percent commission and Canadian agents receive $250 in Karisma Canada Cash per booking. Also, travelers who book a vacation with the specialized agents are privy to exclusive deals and on-property VIP recognition.
