KASA Hotel Collection, a new luxury hotel brand with two properties in Mexico, has announced plans to expand into the Caribbean.
“The upcoming portfolio of projects includes three more hotels in Mexico plus new developments in Turks and Caicos, Belize, the Virgin Islands and Costa Rica,” said KASA Founder and President Richard Houghton in a written statement, noting that the luxury hotel collection’s guests had been asking for additional locations. “We are beginning with opening two hotels per year and growing from there.”
Both of KASA Hotel Collection’s current properties are members of Small Luxury Hotels (SLH). The first, KASA Hotel Parota, opened two years ago in Tulum. The second, KASA Hotel Riviera Maya, is set to open in May. Three additional hotels are scheduled to open in the Tulum area over the next two years, while the Caribbean projects are planned for early 2021.
“As we refine our hotels in each country, we will be searching out other areas where we feel we meet,” Houghton said.
The KASA Hotel Parota is a family-friendly, luxury boutique hotel with 39 suites, each with a fully equipped kitchen and oversized balconies, as well as an infinity-edge pool with a swim-up bar and restaurant and complimentary bicycles for guests to explore. The KASA Hotel Riviera Maya will have 42 suites, most with a fully equipped kitchen, dining room and sitting area with a view of either the lagoon or garden, as well as marble bathrooms with single or double sinks.
