To celebrate Valentine's Day and the month of romance, La Colección Resorts by Fiesta Americana has developed an “ABC” guide that presents a variety of experiences for couples at its resorts. With “Adrenaline-filled”, “Beach-bound” and “Chill-out” experiences, couples can choose from active options like kayaking through the Bacalar Lagoon and exploring the Chetumal jungle to relaxing events like spa treatments and private oceanfront dinners.
Adrenaline
For active couples, the Explorean Kohunlich resort, located in the middle of the Chetumal jungle, offers numerous activities, such as the Kohunlich Biking Adventure, a two-mile bike ride to the Los Mascarones archaeological site to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Another experience is the Xul Há Kayak Expedition, where couples cross through the canal that connects the Xul Há cenote with the Bacalar lagoon. Travelers can also try the extreme rappel experience and race each other from the top of a 230-foot wall in the middle of the jungle.
Beach
The Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos is offering a Valentine’s Day experience that merges romance and wine. During the Barefoot Elegance Experience, couples will take part in the traditional grape stomping ritual, then unwind with a reflexology massage done with Chardonnay grape-based body creams, provided by the resorts SOMMA Wine Spa experts. Finally, guests will enjoy a wine tasting session with the resort’s own sommelier and a 3-course private dinner by the beach.
Additionally, the Grand Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta all-inclusive, adults-only resort is offering a dining experience with three menu options available for guests on Valentine’s Day. The private dinner for two will place guests right on the beach as well.
Chill Out
Couples looking to relax this Valentine’s Day can enjoy an experience at Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta’s Nakawe Spa. The resort offers a special Couples VIP Celebration that includes a catalogue of treatments and amenities for guests. To start the VIP experience, guests can enjoy either sparkling wine or a cocktail of their choice, then take a dip in a private outdoor jacuzzi. After that, couples receive a hot stone massage and an exclusive food menu.
Couples traveling with kids can enjoy spa treatments at the Grand Fiesta Americana Coral Beach Cancun as their children spend time in the Coral Kidz Club. The Romantic Escape Couples Massage is a 50 or 80-minute treatment that includes a foot ritual, usage of private facilities in VIP cabin (30 min) and rose-scented oil couples massage in one of the Coral Spa Suites.
