Las Alcobas Napa Valley has reopened following the deadly wildfires that struck California’s wine country over the past few weeks.
According to the latest statement from the hotel, Las Alcobas Napa Valley was able to reopen the Acacia House restaurant on Friday to the surrounding community. As of Monday, October 23, the hotel and atrio spa were once again welcoming guests.
“We’d like to thank our Acacia House restaurant team who have been providing meals to the heroes of our community: the first responders, evacuation centers and volunteer organizations in Napa, Sonoma and all through Santa Rosa,” the hotel said in a written statement.
The Fountaingrove Inn | The Steakhouse @ Equus and the Hilton Sonoma Wine Country remained closed due to the fires.
Visit Santa Rosa reports that, while the city is still assessing the extent of the businesses affected by the fires, the majority is unaffected and many area hotels were not directly damaged. While many tourism businesses in the area are open, many are operating with limited staff, and most hotels are reserved by first responders and evacuees.
Visit Napa Valley reports that the fires mostly affected the eastern and western hills surrounding the valley floor. Many area hotels, wineries and restaurants, as well as other businesses, either remained open or fully reopened last week to welcome visitors. A small number of businesses remains closed.
Visit Sonoma County reports that more than 90 percent of the county was not affected by the wildfires, and many area tourism businesses are now open. The county has a list of open tourism businesses here.
