With development constantly underway, the Las Vegas hotel scene is always changing. Here’s a look at what to expect over the next couple years.
Vdara Hotel & Spa will debut its new Vdara Club Lounge this month. An included feature for guests of Luxury Suites, City Corner Club Lounge Suites and Studio Fountain View Club Lounge Suites, the lounge will include pre-arrival concierge, gourmet dining, a complimentary social hour and quiet work spaces. The Vdara Club Lounge suites will begin welcoming guests this Friday, January 11.
Next month, Flamingo Las Vegas will introduce its 14 Bunk Bed Rooms. The 515-square-foot rooms will offer four beds, two queen-sized beds each with a full-size bunk above. Guests looking for more space can choose the 1,000-square-foot Bunk Bed Suite, which will include a parlor and kitchenette in addition to the bedroom.
Several properties are currently in the middle of resort-wide renovations. Formerly the Mandarin Orental, Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas Hotel & Residences will debut redesigned rooms and public spaces sometime this year. SLS Las Vegas began work on a $100 million renovation last October, with the efforts expected to affect the casino floor, hotel rooms, entertainment venues and more. The Palms Casino Resort expects to wrap up its $690 million renovation in 2019.
Though 2019 is only just begun, 2020 is also looking like it will be a big year for Las Vegas. The multi-billion-dollar Resorts World Las Vegas is targeting a late 2020 opening. Marriot’s new property The Drew Las Vegas, expected to offer 4,000 rooms and connect to the new Las Vegas Convention Center, is also aiming for a 2020 debut. The Downtown Grand Hotel & Casino Las Vegas, meanwhile, plans to add more than 250,000 square feet to the property with the debut a new tower in mid-2020.
