Palace Resorts reports that it has completed a major renovation of the Le Blanc Spa Resort Cancun, the brand’s flagship property. The adults-only resort has reopened following updates to its interiors and exteriors, including a redesigned lobby, enhanced meeting space, new guest suites, refreshed restaurants and newly decorated common spaces.
Master architect Roberto Elias handled the resort’s exteriors, while Francois Frossard of Francois Frossard Design (FFD) handled the interiors. The lobby has been redesigned to call back to the era of grand hotel lobbies as urban meeting places, with a variety of seating areas for people to gather and share a cocktail. The project also added abstract art by Yucatan artist Genoveva Faller throughout the property and, outside, a number of palm trees and hammocks were added.
The property’s 260 rooms and suites have been completely redesigned with a neutral color palette in cool shades of white. Each suite has a private French balcony, living space, a king bed or two standard double beds with new memory foam mattresses, double whirlpool tubs and bathrooms with rain shower-heads and body jets.
All of the resort’s restaurants have been revamped with new décor, upgraded menus and new dining concepts. New restaurant options include Bella, serving classic Italian cuisine, as well as Blanc, a modern Mexican restaurant. Lumiere, the resort’s signature restaurant, received new décor and a new menu focused on distinct ingredients, such as escargot, duck and foie gras, while Yama, a new restaurant, serves eclectic, modern Japanese dishes. The Terraza “Wood Fired Bistro” has been redesigned to take advantage of ocean views, while the new Pure offers healthy dining options. For dessert, there is the new Glasé ice cream parlor, as well as K’akau, a new coffee and sweets shop.
For events, all of the property’s 8,115 square feet of meeting space has been updated with modern décor, new carpeting, upgraded modern doors and flooring as well and environmentally friendly, intelligent controls for lighting, air conditioning and sound. The resort also offers top A/V equipment, a business center, and complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property, plus a 2,254-square-foot terrace with a cocktail patio offering sunset views.
At the BLANCSPA, guests can enjoy a newly launched signature service, The Balchè Massage, which incorporates Balchè, a fermented drink native to the Yucatan that stems from the bark of a tree of the genus Lonchocarpus and honey. The ingredients are incorporated into the massage, allowing guests to customize and choose from a variety of oils, aromas, and techniques used to relax, revitalize and decompress the muscles. The massage ends with a traditional Mayan drink.
Le Blanc Spa Resort is 35 minutes from Cancun International Airport. Each guest at the resort receives personal butler service.
