Luxury Lodges Collection Unveils Updates Across UK Portfolio

Luxury Lodges Collection has revealed a range of updates across its portfolio. The group offers self-catering getaways across Cornwall, South Wales, The Lake District and Northumberland.

With a rise in multi-generational family holidays, Luxury Lodges Collection focuses on catering for guests of all ages. Its South Wales site, Dylan Coastal Resort in Carmarthenshire, offers an updated activity schedule featuring a range of on- and off-site experiences. This summer, Dylan Coastal Resort will introduce a trampoline area and a marquee for children. Teenagers and adults can make use of wellness facilities at the Milk Wood Spa in Milk Wood House. This year, the spa will see the addition of The Studio, a new space where guests can enjoy a range of treatments and yoga sessions. Both guests of Lodges and owners of Residences are invited to make use of the spa facilities, including the heated, outdoor hydrotherapy infinity pool which affords views of the Taf Estuary and beyond.

Dylan Coastal Resort is redesigning its F&B offering at Milk Wood Bar & Kitchen. The pizza oven will be moved to the outdoor terrace, while a second terrace will serve a range of bar snacks. Guests can enjoy a fine-dining experience in the main restaurant, which serves dishes prepared from locally sourced ingredients.

In response to a recent finding that 34 percent of UK households own a pet dog, and a consequential rise in demand for pet-friendly accommodation, Luxury Lodges has added new pet-friendly lodges across all of its sites. According to Dog’s Trust, 70 percent of dog owners now take their pets on holiday and highlighting this preference, a Condor Ferries survey showed that 85 percent of dog owners in the UK would choose a staycation with their dog over a holiday abroad without them.

A range of pet-friendly lodges available at Dylan Coastal Resort, Bude Coastal Resort in North Cornwall and Whitbarrow in The Lake District. Additionally, Luxury Lodges Collection’s South Cornwall site, Clowance, has added a new selection of dog-friendly lodges, including Lowarth Lodge, located a short drive from the beach. These new lodges accommodate up to eight guests and feature a large private hot tub. Furthermore, the new Argel Pet Lodge sleeps up to six guests and comes with a private hot tub.

With many businesses offering flexible working policies and work-from-home opportunities, guests seek longer-term staycation opportunities year after year. Luxury Lodges Collection offers Residence lodges for purchase at Bude Coastal Resort, Dylan Coastal Resort and Hexham Lodges. It has added new Residences across resorts to offer prospective buyers the opportunity to purchase a second home and benefit from a complete turnkey solution and investment opportunity. Owners can choose from a selection of Residence options for purchase, all of which come fully furnished, and make the most of optional add-ons including roof terraces and hot tubs. All Residences offer access to full resort amenities and experiences, including membership to the spa and discount at all F&B outlets. For those wishing to sublet their properties, Luxury Lodges is a lucrative and flexible option, with a 12-month rental season, and the Luxury Lodges team handling everything from bookings to maintenance.

Following high-level rental figures in Q1 of 2024 for owners at both resorts, Luxury Lodges Collection confirmed that owners of their Residences are on track to earn more than the Luxury Lodges guarantee.

Jack Hurley, commercial director of Luxury Lodges Collection, commented: “We have started the year strong in terms of bookings, with the majority coming from large groups and multi-generational families. We therefore understand the importance of being able to cater for these types of bookings and ensure we can cater for different ages and are flexible in meeting guest demands. We have found that large families and groups with extended family members tend to rent out multiple lodges, whether it be a long weekend or a long stay booking. This allows them to celebrate a family getaway together, with the option to enjoy their own privacy in their own lodge.”
