The Mayakoba resort complex, which includes properties by Andaz, Banyan Tree, Fairmont and Rosewood, has officially completed its new El Pueblito town square area.
El Pueblito is designed to resemble a traditional Mexican town square, and it offers guests of all four resorts at the complex a variety of food and beverage venues – including a candy store and an artisan ice cream shop – as well as a lineup of retail outlets, a gazebo and a wedding chapel.
Andaz Mayakoba has just opened the final piece of the square, El Pueblito Bar. Designed to offer guests more of a nightlife experience, the new bar is the only bar in the square and it stays open until 2 a.m., which is three hours later than any of the other bars in the resort complex. The casual indoor / outdoor venue serves up creative cocktails and live music curated by Andaz Mayakoba’s resident DJ, Jared Dietch. Drinks are included for guests who book the resort’s Premium All-Inclusive Package. All of El Pueblito, including the new bar, can be booked for private parties, weddings and events.
The opening of the new bar coincides with the launch of a new Chef’s Table experience at the Andaz Mayakoba. Set in Casa Amate’s central garden, the experience begins with a personal greeting by Chef Miguel Gomez and his team, followed by a welcome cocktail and a selection of small entrees. The chef then creates a three-course menu pasted on guests’ preferences (taking into account any food allergies) and explains the meal, along with its wine pairings, as it is served. All ingredients are locally sourced and organic, and the food is grilled.
Finally, the Casa Amate, in partnership with Dom Pérignon, is offering guests a special Champagne dinner through February 24. Chef Gomez and Pastry Chef Daniel Moreno have created a lineup of locally inspired dishes, such as caviar tacos and Mexique chocolate mousse, to complement the famous Champagne.
