The Laylow, a member of the Autograph Collection Hotels, has opened following an extensive $60 million renovation.
Located on the island of Oahu, The Laylow joins a portfolio of more than 100 independent hotels around the world.
Set on the revitalized Kuhio Avenue in Waikiki, the hotel has 251 rooms. The Laylow's signature restaurant, Hideout, serves Pacific Rim classics that aim to emphasize local ingredients. Executive chef Bryan Byard sources the ingredients from the ocean and local farms for breakfast, lunch and dinner menus that include a Kauai prawn and crab cake eggs benedict with mango hollandaise, coconut porter short ribs and a Kalua pork and Wagyu burker.
Hideout extends to an open-air terrace with two fire pits overlooking Kuhio Avenue. Guests can enjoy the saltwater pool encased in a deck of Brazilian hardwood. The deck is dotted with lounge chairs, daybeds and private cabanas.
Autograph Collection Hotels, part of Marriott International, Inc., participates in the industry's loyalty program, Marriott Rewards, which includes The Ritz-Carlton Rewards.
The redeveloped Kuhio Avenue also has a lineup of new retail and restaurants, as well as the recently redeveloped International Marketplace, said Robert Friedl, general manager of The Laylow, in a written release.
