Family-owned hospitality brand Mexico Grand Hotels is celebrating 25 years of real estate and hospitality ventures in Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos, Mexico. From a partnership with Carlos O’Brien’s Restaurant & Bar in 1980 to the completion of El Encanto at Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences in 2017, Mexico Grand Hotel’s portfolio continues to expand as they announce a new upscale boutique property, Vista Encantada, which will make its debut in Los Cabos next spring.
Having a hand in Señor Frogs and SQUID ROE, Mexico Grand Hotels built a foundation to harbor the growth of resorts and tourist activities in Los Cabos such as the nautical-themed property, Marina Fiesta Resort & Spa in 1991 and the establishment of the trademarked “Golden Zone” in 2004. Their roster of bars and restaurants including La Concha, Los Deseos and Baja Lobster Co. are just a few of eateries that contributed to their success in the early 2000’s.
Most notably, Hacienda Encantada Resort & Residences opened its doors in 2007 and holds five stars and four diamonds with a design inspired by traditional Mexican architecture and views of Land’s End. The $70 million investment included The Residences, two and three-bedroom luxury villas overlooking the Sea of Cortez in 2013 and El Encanto, an all-inclusive enclave in 2016. Today, the Mexico Grand family currently employs 1,340 workers.
“Mexico Grand Hotels is very much a family affair. Year after year, we’ve kept perfecting our product and diversifying our offer. This year we are proud to continue this quest with Vista Encantada, a new lifestyle hotel in the heart of Los Cabos,” said Gabriel Ibarra, Mexico Grand Hotels Sales and Marketing Director.
Vista Encantada will be home to 37 suites ranging from one to four bedrooms, each with a full kitchen, plunge pool, laundry room and electric grills. The building’s sky pool, sky gym and specialty restaurant are also notable amenities. The addition of 255 new employees and $30 million investment marks a new chapter for Mexico Grand Hotels.
