There’s plenty going on hotel-wise in Mexico this year. These hotels are all set to open in by the end of 2018:
Fairmont Costa Canuva
Fairmont has plans to open a new 250-suite property along the Riviera Nayarit in late 2018. The hotel will form a part of the new Costa Canuva beachfront community, which includes more than 600 acres of beach, forest and mountains, as well as five hotels. Visitors to the hotel will enjoy first-rate services and facilities, six restaurants and bars and an expansive outdoor swimming pool. There will also be a Greg Norman and Lorena Ochoa-designed golf course in the community.
Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve
Zadún, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve will open in San José del Cabo in late 2018. The resort will have 115 luxury villas, each with a private butler and many with a swimming pool. Zadún will also have two championship-caliber golf courses and a botanical park. Set along the Sea of Cortez, the resort is also an ideal location for tourists interested in whale or dolphin-watching.
Awakening
Set on the banks of the Nopalitos Lagoon on Mexico’s Caribbean coast, Awakening is a boutique hotel, which is slated to open near the year’s end. Guests at Awakening will stay in “human cocoons,” which combines elements of a treehouse with a cabin. The innovative structures mimic natural forms, designed to blend seamlessly into the jungle surroundings.
Nobu Hotel Los Cabos
Robert De Niro’s Nobu Hotels will make its debut in Cabo San Lucas. Sitting on the Pacific Ocean’s beachfront, the luxury resort will offer the signature Nobu Restaurant, a spa, retail stores, and a variety of dining and lounging experiences, plus event and meeting space. The 200 rooms and suites will be designed with the use of natural materials, featuring a “contemporary and elegant style” inspired by Japan and the beach.
