Mexico’s Velas Resorts is launching several new activities for teens to complement its travel deals, spa treatments and dedicated Teens’ Clubs.
The new activities include a Graffiti Workshop, Teen Movie Night, Tortilla Making, Pickleball and Training Camp, which are available at the company's family-friendly properties in Los Cabos, Riviera Maya, Riviera Nayarit and Puerto Vallarta. The training camp, available at Grand Velas Riviera Maya, consists of a bungee, zip line and climbing walls.
Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit also offers the adventure equipment from the camp for leisure use. At Grand Velas Los Cabos, the Graffiti Workshop, instructed by a local muralist, lets younger guests get creative. At Velas Vallarta in Puerto Vallarta, teenagers can play on the new Pickleball courts.
Teens’ Clubs at the Grand Velas resorts also have game rooms with an X-Box Kinect, pool table, air hockey, ping pong, foosball and a karaoke set with an illuminated dance floor. Individual cubicles are equipped with Xbox and Playstation video game systems, along with built-in speakers for enhanced game play. Lounges offer mocktails, soft drinks and snacks.
Massages, body treatments and facials are also offered to teens.
Activities vary based on the resort. A savings of 50 percent applies to teens 13 to 15 years old when sharing the suite with at least one adult.
In addition to these new offerings, Velas Resorts has also debuted new children's activities. Additionally, a dedicated Summer Camp with glamping, climbing walls, a zip line, bungee, nightly shows and drive-in movies will run from July 12 to August 11 at the hotels.
