MGM Resorts International and New York-based Sydell Group have released a preview of the new pool scene at the upcoming Park MGM in Las Vegas, which is set to open this spring. The outdoor space includes three pools, a heated spa, 12 cabanas, lounge areas, and multiple bars serving up food and beverages.
Guests can relax at one of three pools – the South Pool, the East Pool or the North Pool – designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio. The company drew inspiration from the natural surroundings of a country estate, incorporating layered horticulture to shape each pool space.
In addition to chaises throughout the deck area, each pool includes Baja shelf seating and submerged wet decks, allowing guests to sunbathe while staying cool. Those seeking an elevated experience can upgrade to the VIP area by the East Pool, where they’ll find deluxe cushioned chaises.
Pool area highlights include:
- Craft Drinks: Three bars offer poolside cocktails, such as the Park Punch, a frozen pineapple cocktail and mix-and-match craft beer buckets. Guests can keep cool with drinks including young coconut, fresh fruit juices and a Bacardi Dragonberry rum-spiked Frosé topped with strawberries. Vista Bar serves as the main pool bar, offering a tropics-inspired beverage program and seating with a view overlooking the pool.
- Poolside Cuisine: Light bites and poolside fare include dishes ranging from a Watermelon & Arugula Salad to Fajita Chicken Nachos. A Tuna Poke Bowl made with spicy tuna, pickled carrot, English cucumber, green onion, toasted sesame, nori and steamed rice offers a light option ideal for Vegas’ hot summer days.
- Reserved Seating: Chaise lounges are available for reservation throughout all three pools. Guests who reserve these seats will receive complimentary amenities throughout the day, from frozen grapes to specialty cocktails.
- Private Cabanas: Twelve private cabanas serve up VIP treatment with deluxe amenities including a 55” LED television, misting system, personal safe, and seating with plush cushions, lounges and umbrellas. Cabana guests enjoy a variety of beverages including large-format bottle service.
The new pool experience is part of MGM Resorts and Sydell Group’s partnership to transform Monte Carlo Resort and Casino into two new hotels: a Las Vegas version of Sydell’s NoMad Hotel, and a new luxury resort, Park MGM. Park MGM’s poolscape incorporates sustainable horticulture, including a selection of climate-appropriate species to mitigate water usage, and palms and fully-grown trees salvaged from the existing site.
