Casa Velas in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, has announced the appointment of Miguel Peregrina Cambero as its general manager. In his new role, Cambero will be responsible for the hotel’s 80 suites, cuisine and special gourmet happenings. The boutique hotel on the Mexican Pacific coast is a member of Virtuoso.
Most recently, Cambero was director of public relations and marketing communications at the Four Seasons Resort Punta Mita. Prior to that he spent several years with Velas Resorts, first as the corporate image manager for the company’s six properties in Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta-Riviera Nayarit and Riviera Maya and then as guest experience manager at Grand Velas Riviera Nayarit. Cambero has also held positions with the University of Guadalajara and Grupo Milenio in the States of Jalisco, Nuevo León and Guanajuato.
Casa Velas is a luxury all-inclusive, adults-only boutique hotel. The property has 80 suites, some with private pools and jacuzzis. Located on Marina Vallarta’s 18-hole golf course, the hotel offers guests a 25 percent discount on green fees. Guests will enjoy beach access at Táu Beach Club, complete with a jacuzzi, pool, Emiliano restaurant and an event space. ABJA Spa offers treatment rooms for singles and couples, a hydrotherapy area, a garden-view fitness center and a beauty salon.
