Muy’Ono Resorts has announced the addition of Slickrock Belize Adventures, an all-inclusive adventure eco-lodge located on a private island at the outer reef of Glover’s Reef Atoll, Belize. This marks the resort collection’s tenth property in its portfolio.
Slickrock is situated on Long Caye, an island 35 miles off the coast of Dangriga. Long Caye is located on Glover’s Reef Atoll, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Marine Reserve. Offering adventure sport ecotourism since 1977, Slickrock offers guests snorkeling, surfing, paddle boarding, windsurfing, kayaking, fishing and more experiences.
The eco-lodge has beachfront cabanas with porches, hammocks and lounge chairs that allow guests to enjoy views of the Caribbean Sea. Slickrock is an ideal destination for those looking to get off the grid during their week-long adventure, as the eco-lodge has cell service but no Wi-Fi, encouraging guests to unplug and reconnect with nature.
In line with the brand’s commitment to sustainability, the eco-lodge operations are 100 percent sustainable, using renewable energy, rainwater catchment systems, natural ventilation in lieu of air-conditioning, and more. The eco-lodge goes above and beyond to involve visitors in conservation efforts with guides who educate guests about the importance of protecting the reef’s ecosystem and encouraging responsible practices while snorkeling and diving.
Slickrock offers an eight-night “All-Inclusive Adventure Vacation Package” from Saturday to the following Sunday with non-stop activities and local cuisine included in the trip price. Highlights include complete access to water sports with daily guided activities. Guests can expect to enjoy a yoga palapa, sea kayak palapa with a range of kayaks, a surf palapa with equipment, jogging and nature trail, island library, volleyball court, and more.
