Slated to open in 2020, with groundbreaking scheduled for the end of this year, Rock House Turks & Caicos aims to bring a bit of the French Riviera to the Caribbean. The resort, developed by Grace Bay Resorts and located on the north coast of Providenciales, will be set on a 14-acre, oceanfront site with a 600-foot-long beach. A kicker will be “peaks” 95 feet above sea level, providing a view of the beach and resort from a good vantage point.
The resort will have 41 cottages and four hillside homes (available for ownership). Designed by Shawn Henderson, each residence’s interiors will have a mix of contemporary and traditional design with Scandinavian and custom-made furnishings, porcelain and terrazzo flooring, oversized soaking tubs and Waterworks fixtures in the kitchens and bathrooms.
A highlight will be the 100-foot-long pool perched on a 25-foot limestone cliff. The pool will overlook the Atlantic Ocean and will be surrounded by Rock House’s studios. A quarry pool carved directly out of the cliff—the first of its kind in Turks and Caicos—will also be on site upon the resort’s completion. The pools will have sophisticated daybeds, food and beverage service and a signature lounge.
Set on the hilltop will be a restaurant and bar, spa, fitness center and arrival pavilions, each offering views of the ocean.
In addition, earlier this summer, Grace Bay Resorts named Stephanie Navatto as director of sales. Navatto brings over 15 years of experience to this role and a comprehensive understanding of the luxury hospitality market. As director of sales, her focus is on transient and group segments for Grace Bay Resorts, including Grace Bay Club, West Bay Club, Point Grace, The Private Villa Collection and Rock House.
Prior to Grace Bay Resorts, Navatto served as director of sales for The Set Hotels, successfully growing U.S.-based business and brand awareness for the Conservatorium Hotel and Hotel Café Royal. She also served as associate director of sales for The Lanesborough, A St. Regis Hotel and has worked for both The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes and JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes.
