Dream Hotel Group is opening a new hotel for wine lovers under the company’s luxury Chatwal brand in Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico, with the opening scheduled for 2021.
The new Chatwal Valle de Guadalupe will be located in Baja California, a 90-minute drive from San Diego. It will have 80 suites and 50 branded residences, a luxury spa and wellness concept, and three restaurant and bar venues that will aim to celebrate the winemaking and olive growing traditions of the region, including a private tasting room and wine seller. The hotel will also offer horseback riding and sommelier courses.
The hotel will open as the Valle de Guadalupe continues to attract more interest from oenophiles, Dream Hotel Group said. Recently named “The Napa Valley of Mexico” by Forbes magazine, Valle De Guadalupe is on the Ruta del Vino, with access to dozens of wineries.
Dream Hotel Group says that the new property marks the second Chatwal Hotel location and fourth hotel deal signed in Mexico in the past 18 months. Up next is the Unscripted Tulum, The Chatwal San Miguel de Allende and, the most recently announced, DRM Dream Calle de Guadalupe.
With 19 hotels currently open and over 20 more in development, Dream Hotel Group says that it is on track to double its existing portfolio by 2022.
