Banyan Tree Mayakoba has rolled out a new event venue: MK Blue, a 10,358-square-foot indoor-outdoor event space. The new facility is part of the resort’s current $50 million expansion project, which also extends to new and renovated villas, suites, restaurants and more as the resort celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.
MK Blue is next to the resort’s main entrance and has unobstructed views of the Mayakoba waterways and tropical forests. The venue includes 7,885 square feet of indoor function space, as well as a 2,500-square-foot outdoor terrace. The roofed outdoor venue is designed with a raw and organic feel, effortlessly immersed in nature, as is the entire resort. MK Blue comfortably seats up to 550 guests and features state-of-the-art AV and production equipment, along with a selection of area décor suppliers.
In addition to MK Blue, Banyan Tree Mayakoba offers 14 indoor and outdoor event venues, including two ballrooms and two break-out rooms. Each space aims to combine nature and the laid-back atmosphere of the Mexican Caribbean. Available activities range from Mayan-themed dinners to guided cooking classes with master chefs, or a round of golf on the El Camaleon golf course.
When booking the meeting packages such as “Meet for More” or “Meaningful Connection,” additional perks are offered such as early check-in, late check-out, complimentary Wi-Fi, and room upgrades.
