Here's what you need to know to make money from these impactful Caribbean hotel announcements.
Margaritaville Beach Resort Grand Cayman Opens for Reservations
Margaritaville Beach Resort Grand Cayman, the anticipated multi-million-dollar renovation project situated in the heart of Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, on Seven Mile Beach, has announced that reservations are officially open.
Clients booking online at www.margaritavilleresortgrandcayman.com will be among the first to experience the 285-room destination resort with stays beginning after February 4. Nightly rates start at $229, depending on room type.
A complete soft opening in early 2017 will include the first 109 guest rooms, the resort’s main pool, and the resort’s signature steakhouse, YARA. The exact soft opening date for these aspects will be shared in the coming weeks, but Travel Agent was told everything will be ready by February 4.
Accommodations incorporate casual-luxe furnishings, including crisp white bedding, accented glass and teak finishings. In addition, sleek, tropical-inspired designs are found accompanied by subtle maritime accents, natural rock and wood materials, and colorful accessories.
Guest rooms have work desks, walk-in showers or tubs, 55-inch LCD TVs, high-speed Wi-Fi and data ports, irons and ironing boards and Keurig coffee makers.
The resort’s 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill is now open during the resort’s soft opening phase, which will soon be followed by its License to Chill Bar and Margaritaville Coffee Shop.

Luxury Resort in The Bahamas Debuts Eight New Beach Bungalows
Clustered along a secluded expanse of The Bahamas’ north coast, Kamalame Cay’s eight new, one-bedroom bungalows are ideal for groups of couples traveling together, family reunion trips, girlfriend getaways and small wedding parties.
The bungalows are utterly private yet in close proximity to one another. They offer 660 square feet of indoor/outdoor space and lofty, 16-foot ceilings capped with cedar shingle roofs. The shoreline studios are fronted by private verandahs steps from white sand beaches and are elevated to provide sunrise and sunset views.
Designed with a tranquil coastal palette of whitewashed wood, breezy linen curtains, and natural accents like sea grass rugs, the bungalows have king-size beds with Simmons Beautyrest mattresses and design accents from Ralph Lauren, Eli Tahari, Restoration Hardware and Anthropologie.
The suites also incorporate accent furniture from Nadeau and custom ceramic sconces by Donna Lee Crawford. The interior layouts include a wet bar and seating area, while private outdoor showers with Molton Brown bath amenities allow guests to bathe in nature while enjoying full ocean vistas.
The bungalows are tech-free, with no television or Wi-Fi for guests. Wi-Fi is, however, available in the lounge at Pineapple House on the island for those who must get online.
