Continuing its growth in Germany, NH Collection Hotels has opened and refurbished two hotels.
With its New York-inspired design, NH Collection Frankfurt Spin Tower opened on May 1, 2023. In a central location on Güterplatz, the hotel is housed on the first 20 of 31 floors of a new tower, the 397-foot Spin Tower, designed by internationally renowned German architect Hadi Teherani.
Guests are welcomed into a 36-foot-high atrium lobby with minimalist design elements and an imposing staircase. The Lobby Lounge offers curated refreshments with comfortable furniture. The signature bar, Oaks at Frankfurt Spin Tower, has impressive views of the financial metropolis with high windows and a terrace. The bar’s name is derived from the spirits aged in oak barrels, which are served alongside cocktails, craft beers and a selection of smoked hams and cheeses. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served directly from the open show kitchen at The Spin, where guests can enjoy European and Asian cuisine.
Distributed over 16 floors, the hotel’s 414 guestrooms and suites share a warm color scheme and New York-style interior elements of wood and metal designed by Spanish studio Rafael de la Hoz. The hotel's other facilities include 10,764 square feet of meeting rooms and a wellness area with a gym and sauna.
The double façade with integrated solar shading features a cavity between the two panes, which acts as thermal insulation to reduce energy costs and emissions. Ideally located at the crossroads of the financial district, the trade fair and the train station, NH Collection Frankfurt Spin Tower offers guests easy access to museums, restaurants, galleries and sites of interest in the city.
NH Collection Heidelberg has also recently emerged from extensive renovations, with the original elements of the brewery in which the hotel is housed paired with modern updates.
Distributed across the original and modern sections of the hotel, 168 guestrooms and suites feature gold and gray decor and imaginative artwork. Dining is offered in the lobby, with guests can enjoy an extensive breakfast buffet in the mornings and a la carte dinner in the evenings. Small local dishes, wines, cocktails and local beers are served at the bar throughout the day.
NH Collection Heidelberg is ideally located for guests looking to explore the city and cultural center. Located in the state of Baden-Württemberg, Heidelberg has Germany's oldest university, a baroque old town and a castle, and attracts 11.9 million visitors annually. In 2015, UNESCO declared Heidelberg the 'City of Literature'.
In addition to NH Collection Heidelberg and NH Collection Spin Tower, more than 90 properties are currently included in the NH Collection premium brand portfolio, in 21 countries.
