Nobis Hotel Copenhagen Is Now Open

Nobis Hotel Copenhagen is officially open. The 77-room, three-suite hotel is housed in a historic landmark building originally built in 1903 the formerly housed the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music. The new hotel is the first property outside of the company's native Sweden.

Located between the Tivoli Gardens and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek Museum, Nobis Hotel Copenhagen combines style, luxury, and local heritage.

Architect Gert Wingårdh and his team at Wingårdh Arkitekter oversaw the renovation of the property. Wingårdh sought to pay homage to the building's roots while adding his own modern touches. A notable feature is the grand staircase, which has been preserved and restored.

The guestrooms range from 20 to 91 square meters, and all boast a luxurious king-size bed. The Superior Room and the Superior Loft room both offer a shower, while the Deluxe Room features either a shower or a bathtub. Meanwhile the Junior Suite, the Penthouse Suite, and the Nobis Suite each feature a shower and a bathtub.

All rooms, however, are furnished with classic Danish furniture from Carl Hansen & Søn. Also in the rooms are rugs from Swedish brand Kasthall, beds from Duxiana, and bathroom amenities from Byredo.

The Nobis Hotel Copenhagen restaurant, Niels, was also renovated by Wingårdh Arkitekter. To create a unique space Wingårdh covered the building’s façade in glass and copper plates. The restaurant is headed by Chef de Cuisine Jeppe Foldager and offers modern takes on classic French and Nordic food.
