JW Marriott St. Maarten Beach Resort & Spa has opened, marking the first Marriott International luxury hotel in St. Maarten.
There are 200 guestrooms and suites with views of the sea and St. Barth’s in the distance. Designed by Cauhaus Design, the guestrooms provide a warm atmosphere infused with rich tones, natural wood finishes, handcrafted tile accents and cove lighting alongside entertainment systems, artworks and artifacts.
Guests can enjoy four dining venues on property. Liguria draws inspiration from the coastal Mediterranean with a menu that emphasizes regional flavors; Carambola represents the laid-back breakfast, lunch and dinner dining scene locally referred to as “flip-flop fine dining” utilizing fresh ingredients from the JW Garden; the Lobby Bar is the hub to the contemporary food forum with creative mixologists preparing unique drinks; and Breeze, the pool bar, is perfectly positioned with views of the Atlantic Ocean to the east and the Caribbean Sea to the west. The menu includes new takes on many familiar items as well as exotic handcrafted cocktails and frozen libations that use garnishes from the JW Garden.
The resort also has a fully equipped Fitness Room, while the Hibiscus Spa offers a range of treatments incorporating local fruits and flowers, each crafted to renew body and mind.
Good to know: The resort’s event venues are spread across 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space and can be arranged in countless ways to host conferences, board meetings, team-building activities, social gatherings, product launches and more. The hotel is home to 10,000 square feet of flexible indoor event space, including the Soualiga Ballroom and four additional venues suitable for gatherings. Customizable services including catering, audiovisual, event design, and concierge services are also available.
Just a 30-minute drive from Princess Juliana Airport, the resort is accessible by commercial airline, private plane, chartered flight or boutique luxury cruise line.
