IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella, reviving one of Spain’s most distinguished hotels. Originally opened in 1962, the former Los Monteros on Costa del Sol was the first hotel in Spain to receive a Michelin star. Now, Kimpton has reimagined its legacy following an extensive renovation.
Located just 1,640 feet from the Mediterranean, the resort features 195 rooms, including 60 suites, many with private terraces and sea views. The hotel also features pet-friendly accommodations.
Food and beverage options at Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella include Jara restaurant, which offers Mediterranean cuisine with a contemporary twist; Escondido Rooftop, which offers Mexican flavors, complemented by an infinity pool and summer programming; Azul Lounge Bar, where guests can enjoy specialty coffees in the morning and handcrafted cocktails complemented by live music in the evenings; and Costa Club Pool Bar, which serves Mediterranean-inspired light bites and cocktails.
The resort also features a spa by Maison CODAGE which includes a hydrotherapy circuit, daily yoga and fitness sessions, and access to Marbella’s top golf courses. Sports facilities include tennis and paddle courts.
Kimpton Los Monteros Marbella also offers versatile event spaces including a grand ballroom for up to 250 guests, a scenic rooftop and a beach club, perfect for weddings and private gatherings.
Good to know: La Cabane Dolce & Gabbana Beach Club, a local favorite spot for jet setters looking to relax and enjoy the good life, is located nearby.
