It’s open: Four Seasons Hotel George V, Paris has taken the wraps off of its new spa. The new, approximately 7,800 square foot, space includes a 55-foot mosaic-lined swimming pool, a vitality pool with a hydro-massage water experience circuit heated to approximately 93 degrees, a fitness room and a hair salon. In addition to the five single treatment rooms, there are also two hammams for men and women and a spa suite for couple’s treatments. The fitness center also includes a large screen displaying an interactive movie about nature.
The luxury hotel’s former spa, a space designed to recall Marie Antoinette’s boudoir, closed in 2016 for a full renovation, our partner publication Luxury Travel Advisor reports. Since that time a pop-up spa by artistic director Jeff Leatham has been open on the property’s fourth floor.
Pierre-Yves Rochon designed the new space with the aim of combining a modern feel with ancient spa traditions. The color palette is in light grey and silver tones, with the mosaic patterns drawing inspiration from Greek, Roman and Turkish designs. There are also pieces of modern art and floral compositions designed by Leatham.
Treatments are personalized based on guests’ needs and skin types, using a number of products from notable spa brands. Additionally, a selection of new Signature Experiences include a Kobido traditional Japanese facelift, an Alaena organic certified bio anti-ageing treatment, and a Dr. Burgener escape designed especially for the spa.
