Old Bahama Bay Resort & Yacht Harbour in The Bahamas will reopen its hotel, marina, and Dockside Grille restaurant to guests after being closed since October 6 due to the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.
"Old Bahama Bay was fortunate that no major damage was inflicted by wind, rain, or storm surge to the condos or Dockside Grille," said John MacDonald, president of Old Bahama Bay Resort and Yacht Harbour, in a written release. "Now that island power and water have been restored, we look forward to once again welcoming resort, hotel and marina guests."
Old Bahama Bay Resort & Yacht Harbour is located at West End, Grand Bahama Island, roughly 55 miles east of Palm Beach, FL.
"Our Old Bahama Bay staff is looking forward to greeting and serving our friends and past guests, and first-time visitors as well," said James Culmer, the resort’s general manager. "We look forward to a joyous holiday season at the resort."
The resort has 72 rooms and suites, a 72-slip deep water port-of-entry marina that is mega yacht friendly and has on-site customs and immigration services as well as a fuel dock, bait, ice, and laundry and shower facilities, a Dockside Grille, beachside beverage service, an oceanfront infinity swimming pool completely updated, and a variety of activities, games and programs including diving and fishing.
