Palace Resorts has announced a partnership with pastry chef Antonio Bachour. Palace Resorts will now feature an exclusive menu selection of desserts and pastries, exclusively curated by Bachour. In addition, his desserts will be served at all ten of the brand’s oceanfront properties in Mexico and Jamaica.
Bachour’s selection of signature desserts including his signature bonbons, will be available along with other sweet treats such as Berries and Creme, Lemon Tart and a unique take on S’mores, with caramelized bananas, among many others. Existing dessert recipes served in restaurants will also receive a touch of Bachour’s culinary twists.
Palace Resorts arranged for each of the property’s executive pastry chefs to undergo robust training by Bachour. Each chef was introduced to the style of Bachour’s specific techniques, tailored recipes and presentation.
“I’m elated to be a part of the Palace Resorts team and bring unique, new twists to their dessert and pastry offerings. I was extremely impressed with the brand, its impeccable service and vast culinary dining options. I am honored to work alongside their extremely creative culinary teams and take their dessert to the next level” said Antonio Bachour in a written release. “I had the opportunity to work hand in hand with each pastry chef, collaborate with the culinary teams and share our expertise. Together we crafted recipes that will surprise even the most refined palette.”
Bachour was born in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. His love affair for sweets stemmed from watching his mother bake a variety of homemade desserts, which preceded dinner each evening in the Bachour household.
By the age of 14, Bachour was eager to begin his culinary career and would often work afterschool doing any chores around his father’s bakery. At the age of 17, his father gave him a small bakery, where he spent two years perfecting his skills prior to embarking on his global culinary journey. In the coming years, Bachour went on to work in some of the most prestigious hotel kitchens.
In 2018, Bachour will showcase his ridiculously gorgeous and equally delicious sweet treats at Antonio Bachour Bakery + Restaurant + Academy in Miami. This 5,000 square foot venue is Bachour’s latest project.
