Renaissance Hotels reports that the Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation to its guest rooms and public spaces. Helmed by Dider Gomez Interior Design, the refresh of the 97-room hotel is anchored by cocktail bar and restaurant Balagan ─ a joint venture between The Experimental Group and Israeli Chef Assaf Granit, which opened last year. The restaurant’s décor is custom-designed by Dorothée Meilichzon to reflect the spectrum of blues and earthy colors of the coast, and it serves a menu of fresh and seasonal Mediterranean dishes, while the adjoining bar serves cocktails in what’s described as a “boudoir atmosphere.”
The overall design aims for a contrast between 18th century and contemporary styles, with layered patterns and textures in the interiors and art pieces of French feminine style wrapping the ceiling in each guest room.
The hotel’s Le Studio lobby lounge will host locally inspired events to showcase emerging talent in music, the arts, mixology and gastronomy, while the hotel’s Navigator will point guests to hidden gems and handpicked local discoveries.
Keyless room entry is offered through the Marriot Mobile App. For those looking to relax, there is a fitness center, pool and signature spa. A newly created venue, L’Atelier, offers a spot for events ranging from a co-working hub to a showroom, private dinner or pop-up exhibition.
The Renaissance Paris Vendome Hotel is between the Tuileries Garden and the boutiques of Rue Saint-Honoré. Rates start from $450 per night.
